Q: What Is the Functional Movement Screen (FMS)?

A: The screen was created by Gray Cook, PT. It was designed to identify the “weakest link” in the body, which could lead to injury during functional movement (I.E. Increased physical activity, activities of daily living or athletic activities).  It’s not used to diagnose or treat an injury.

Q: Who should be screened?

A: Any individual getting ready to participate in fitness or sport who wants to reduce their chance for injury and stay in the game. These individual include:

Ø Fitness Participants

Ø Team Sport Athletes

Ø Individual Sport Athletes (golfers, runners, tennis players etc.)

Ø Fireman and Police

Ø People with chronic reoccurring injuries

Q: Once my “weakest link” has been identified, how do I correct this weakness?

A:  Jason will evaluate your screen and set you up on a corrective exercise prescription that will address and correct your movement issues; keeping you on track to reaching your fitness and athletic goals.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: FREE if you are in one of our fitness/nutrition programs.  Otherwise, the test is $95.00 with 1 FREE follow-up test.  After each test you receive:

1. A full detailed report of findings

2. A corrective exercise program
